He then had me buy him out and it was just mine. I hated being a landlord. I hated that the property wasn’t anywhere near me. I hated dealing with tenants, clean up, lawn care, and insurance matters. A new roof would have made the rental property totally worthless. I could never get that level of money back from rent. I put my foot down. I looked all around for insurance and couldn’t get anyone to insure with an old, but perfectly fine roof. I started looking at selling. Nobody wanted to buy an on market house with no insurance. So that is how I found a Jacksonville property cash buyer. The lack of insurance and the mess I was dealing with was a minor setback. I actually got a great deal since the guy felt the insurance was easily fixed. I was glad to just get rid of that horrible rental. Now I have cash in hand and no more work. I have never been so thankful to not have to call anyone.
