Not ready for home ownership

I am very happy living in Colorado Springs.

The area suits my sense of adventure and offers an eclectic mix of outdoor activities.

From hiking more than 350 miles of breathtaking trails traversing the Pikes Peak Region to whitewater rafting, snowshoeing, cycling and relaxing segway rides through Garden of the Gods Park, there is always something to do. At all times of year, no matter the weather, I just love breathing in the fresh mountain air. I find the gorgeous mountain views uplifting and inspiring. When I first moved to Colorado Springs, I decided to buy property. I’d secured a decent job and was reluctant to throw money away on rent. As a first-time homeowner, I had no idea of what I was taking on. I had always rented and relied on landlords or property managers to resolve problems and handle upkeep. It didn’t take long to realize that the endless maintenance was more than I was ready to deal with. I preferred to head out on a run rather than clean gutters. I chose to paddle my canoe instead of draining the hot water tank. Due to neglecting important jobs around the house, the property began to deteriorate. Little issues graduated into major problems. It seemed like I was constantly paying repairs. When I’d had enough, I reached out to a cash home buyer. I read lots of reviews, talked to friends and neighbors and decided on a local Colorado Springs real estate company. They are a family-owned operation and have a solid reputation for honest deals. I simply filled out an online form. With a bit of information about the house, I received a cash offer. I was delighted to schedule the closing a week later.
